Optimised radar waveform design based on the relative entropy constraint

A new strategy to optimise the waveform of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar under relative entropy constraint and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is presented. The Kullback–Leibler divergence (KLD) exploited between two probability density functions binary hypothesis testing as design metric. particular analysis detection performance made here illuminate balance false alarm missing probabilities. results simulation demonstrate that process constrained by outperforms employing an explicit SNR when relatively low (i.e., within interval [−2 dB, 0.5 dB]). enhanced attributable capability proposed optimisation focus energy transmission onto components where eigenvalues target signal are large noise small.
